JCI Batu Kawan

Junior Chamber International Batu Kawan is a youth civic organisation based in Simpang Ampat, Penang — one of the fastest-growing townships in the Northern Corridor Economic Region. As a chapter of JCI Malaysia, JCIBK develops young leaders, empowers local entrepreneurs, and runs community programmes that make a real difference in Batu Kawan and Seberang Perai.

Its flagship 2026 initiative is Project Bantu Kawan — “helping friends” in Bahasa Malaysia — a year-long ecosystem of sharing sessions, expert talks and peer learning that helps SME owners build their online presence and grow together. CTA2026 is the culminating celebration of that journey.

When we launched Project Bantu Kawan, we had one simple belief — that every business owner who dares to take a step toward transformation deserves to be seen, celebrated, and supported. The Creative Transformation Award 2026 was born from that belief.

CTA2026 is our commitment to Penang’s SME community — a platform that does more than hand out trophies. It connects entrepreneurs with industry experts, amplifies their brand stories through media, and reminds every business owner that their courage to change is worth recognising.

What is the Creative Transformation Award 2026?

CTA2026 is a recognition programme under Project Bantu Kawan by JCI Batu Kawan, celebrating 30 Malaysian SSM-registered businesses that have taken bold steps in digital and creative business transformation. It runs across three milestone events: the Press Conference on 2 August, the Business Conference & Showcase on 1 November, and the Red Carpet Award Ceremony on 14 November 2026.

Who can participate?

Any SSM-registered business in Malaysia, across all industries and sizes, with no geographic restrictions. By special invitation, JCI member businesses from Thailand, Indonesia, Vietnam, Singapore and the Philippines may also participate. Transformation has no borders.

Are awards guaranteed for all participants?

Yes. Every one of the 30 nominees receives a personalised Creative Transformation Award for their own industry. There is one award type only — no first, second or third placings, and no ranking between nominees.

Do I need to produce new videos?

No. Existing videos are perfectly acceptable for both the Company Profile Video and the Product/Service Video. You do not need to be a marketing expert or hire a film crew — the barrier is deliberately low, because the point is to get every brave business owner to step forward.

What is the Business Conference on 1 November?

A half-day business event featuring industry speakers sharing practical insight on entrepreneurship, wealth and financial management, digital transformation, and the government grants available through NCER. All nominees receive one complimentary ticket plus a dedicated showcase booth to display products and services to around 120 attendees.

How can media cover CTA2026?
